How to prepare your outdoor space for warm weather

Summer has arrived, and it’s that time of the year when the weather in England is (hopefully) at its best. Nights are cool, mornings and evenings are pleasant, and days are warm, so naturally we tend to use our gardens more.

If you’re spending more time in your outdoor space, or are planning an outdoor gathering, you probably want your garden to meet your needs. Let’s take a look at some easy ways to prepare your outdoor space for warm weather and increased use.

1. Rattan Garden Furniture

One of the best ways to make your garden suitable for a gathering is by using rattan furniture. It is made of natural material, and is very strong and durable, with the ability to withstand sun and moisture. Rattan garden furniture is available in a range of formats and sizes, including sofa sets, tables and dining sets.

2. Parasols and Sunshades

Parasols and sunshades are very important in warm weather, as they allow you to enjoy your garden even during the hottest times of the day. As well as providing shade, a parasol or sunshade can limit your exposure to UV rays.

3. Sofas and Sets

Sofas and sets arrangements ensure your guests have a comfortable time in your garden. You can choose an upholstered outdoor sofa, a rattan sofa, or a metal sofa with cushions. Sofa sets work well on patios, where you can easily combine them with other seating and parasols or sunshades.

4. Swings and Hammocks

A swing or hammock can add an extra level of relaxation to your garden. Swings made of rattan furniture are popular, or you could go for a traditional hammock made from fabric and rope. It’s a good idea to position a swing or hammock in a quiet spot, where you can drift off and enjoy your surroundings.

5. Pedestal Fans and Coolers

Don’t assume that fans are only useful indoors. On warm summer days, a pedestal fan or cooler can help to make an outdoor seating area more comfortable. You can even select designer fans and coolers that match the style of your garden and other outdoor furniture.

6. Ice Bucket or Ice Box

Cool refreshing drinks are an absolute necessity on a warm afternoon. Making arrangements for ice buckets and ice boxes can help keep your refreshments chilled. An added bonus is you won’t have to run inside every time you need a refill.

7. Pool Chairs and Sunbeds

Pool chairs and sunbeds are unarguably some of the most useful outdoor furniture in summer. If your garden has a pool, they come in even more handy. Pool chairs and sunbeds are available in various shapes and colours, so it’s easy to co-ordinate them with your garden and other furniture. Or you can cover them with brightly coloured or patterned towels to create a lively, beach vibe.

From all the furniture mentioned above, rattan garden furniture suits almost all garden styles, and is affordable. Rattan furniture is sturdy and can withstand even harsh weather, making it a good option for outdoor use. Always buy rattan furniture in Essex, Liverpool, London and other adjoining areas from trusted sellers, as not all outlets match the quality standards of imported rattan garden furniture.
