Welcome to a new giveaway on the blog, perfect for the run-up to Christmas and the New Year with two great prizes on offer courtesy of the lovely people at TOAD diaries. Two lucky winners will be able to choose £20 worth of personalised products from the TOAD website.
TOAD stands for “Today Or Any Day”, which is the key principle behind TOAD’s products: you can create a diary that starts and ends at any time of the year via their online design tool. The range covers diaries, journals, personal organisers and notebooks and every item is highly customisable to suit your preferences. You can choose pretty much every aspect of your product; size, cover design, cover format and number of pages. There are options to create your own title or message on the front and back covers, and you even have lots of choice with what is printed on the pages; lines, grids, contact forms, music sheets, or combinations. The website is really easy to use and you can create your personalised book in just a couple of minutes.
For my review product I chose to design a gardening notebook. I’m always scribbling down tips and ideas and trying to keep track of what I’ve planted where, but I never seem to keep all this in one place. Being able to customise my notebook to exactly suit what I will use it for was brilliant; I was able to have blank pages for sketches combined with lined pages for notes. The wiro-bound format with plastic cover is perfect for protecting the book when I inevitably take it into the garden and leave it lying somewhere a bit grubby. And choosing my favourite design and title on the cover makes it a really lovely, personal notebook to use.
The notebook is lovely quality and you notice this as soon as you pick it up. The cover is made of nicely thick card with a rigid plastic cover on the front and back to protect it. The personalised cover is printed to a high standard – something that you can’t always guarantee when personalising stationery – and the pages aren’t too thin. There are nice little touches throughout too; a ribbon place marker, a plastic storage pocket and a business card pouch at the back. TOAD have packed a lot into the product without making it too heavy and awkward to carry around with you.
The TOAD range offers a really good selection of styles, designs and formats and the prices are very reasonable; a diary costs around £14 on average and notebooks are generally under £10 (my review product cost £7.56 plus postage). They make lovely, thoughtful gifts – who doesn’t love to receive something personal to them? – and are perfect for Christmas presents. There are lots of ranges to choose from, making it easy to find a design that perfectly reflects the interests and styles of the recipient. I particularly like their new teenager range which features funky music and retro inspired illustrations and bold colours – they’d make a brilliant stocking filler for this tricky-to-buy-for age. There’s also a Sports range of fitness diaries which you can customise to fit a training schedule. They come with sport-specific additional content such as training plans, core exercises, nutrition tips and injury prevention. Because you can personalise your diary it’s guaranteed to be totally relevant to the recipient – making it genuinely useful. What a brilliant idea, I have a few people in mind for one of these this Christmas…
TOAD diaries are a brilliant way to create a personalised gift that doesn’t cost a fortune but will be really well-received. Visit the TOAD website to get started on your own design – and you can also enter the competition to win one of two £20 vouchers to spend on the site, just in time for Christmas.
