Gorgeous gardening gifts from Burgon & Ball plus giveaway

November 17, 2016 by Catherine 152 Comments

Have you started your Christmas shopping yet?  I’m usually quite organised, but this year we’ve been so busy I’m only just starting to think about gift ideas.  I have a few green-fingered recipients to buy for, and being a bit of a gardening geek myself I can’t resist browsing gift ideas for them first!

So, I’ve just spent a really lovely afternoon exploring the fantastic range of gardening products over at Burgon & Ball, and I thought I’d share my favourite ideas for gardening gifts with you.  Whether you’ve got a gardening fan to buy for, or would just like to drop some big hints for your own stocking, here are my top picks to inspire your shopping.

I’m also giving away a fantastic bundle of Burgon & Ball gardening products, including lots of the items featured here, worth over £80.  That would be a great early Christmas present wouldn’t it!  Read on for details of how to enter.

florabrite-pink-trowel-fork-group-lifestyle-01

I’m forever losing my hand tools amongst my plants – I think my compost heap is now home to at least two trowels and a pair of secateurs! – but these super-bright Hand Fork and Hand Trowel, £9.95 each, would be pretty hard to misplace.  They’re part of the new FloraBrite range, which also includes secateurs, snips and gloves, and if pink isn’t your thing you can choose fluorescent yellow instead.

hip trug from burgon and ball gardening gifts ideas

This is going right at the top of my wish list.  I often do a bit of unplanned deadheading in the garden, and I always end up with a handful of clippings and nowhere to put them.  This Large Hip Trug, £12.95, clips easily to your belt, pocket or waistband, freeing up your hands and keeping everything tidy.  It’s available in two sizes; the large holds 3 litres and the small holds 1.5 litres.

If you know a messy gardener, this is the perfect gift!  These multi-purpose Gardener’s Gubbins Pots, £19.95, are so practical for keeping all those little gardening bits and bobs tidy and easy to find.  I think they look really lovely too, and you can choose from five different colours.

love the glove from burgon and ball gardening gifts ideas

I’ve tried many, many different gardening gloves, and the Love The Glove range, £14.95, are my absolute favourites.  They’re really well-made, available in two sizes, machine washable, and allow your hands to move properly while still being hard-wearing.  There’s a lovely range of patterns and fabrics to choose from too.

rhs flora and fauna kneelo from burgon and ball gardening gifts ideas

Beautiful and practical, this Flora and Fauna Kneelo, £17.95, uses memory foam technology to give comfort and support to knees.  It’s part of the RHS Gifts for Gardeners range, which features iconic imagery from the RHS Lindley Library.

vertiplant from burgon and ball gardening gifts ideas

I need these on my boring shed!  If you’re tight on space or have a less-than-lovely wall to disguise, these Verti-Plant planters, £7.95 for two, are brilliant for easy vertical gardening.  Each planter has three pockets and enough space for six plants, and you can choose from six different colours to complement your own outdoor space.

sophie conran gardeners jar from burgon and ball gardening gifts ideas

Every garden shed needs one of these.  The Sophie Conran Gardener’s Jar, £11.95, is packed with useful accessories; plant labels, snips, striped twine and that all-important pencil.  I think the twine would be fab for wrapping up presents too.

What do you think of my selection of gift ideas?  Let me know which is your favourite – and if you’d like more gift inspiration head over to www.burgonandball.com/shop.
