Simple ways to embrace botanical decor

Have you embraced the popular botanical trend in your home decor?

It’s a trend that has been around for a while now – pantone even chose greenery as their colour of the year in 2017 – and it’s not hard to see why.  Bringing the outdoors into your home is a great way to add colour, texture and interest to a room, not to mention the fact that interacting with nature can have powerful psychological benefits.

If you’d like to add a touch of nature to your interior design, you don’t have to make big or expensive changes.  Adding houseplants to your home is an obvious choice, but wall stickers are also perfect for a quick and easy update.

Botanical decor with wall stickers

Here are a few of my favourite botanical designs from tenstickers to get you inspired.

botanical decor - tenstickers swiss cheese plant wall sticker

Simple but striking, this Swiss Cheese Plant wall sticker will make a real impact.  I’d pair this one with a plain, neutral wall for maximum effect.

tenstickers branching flowers wall sticker

This Branching Flowers wall sticker has lovely flowing lines and a very natural feel.  Definitely a great option for a bedroom, where it can flow gracefully over your headboard.

botanical decor - tenstickers 3D cacti wall stickers

Are they real plants, or not?  These 3D Cacti wall stickers are a fun optical illusion – perfect for placing on a shelf or furniture surface.

botanical decor - tenstickers flower wall stickers

If it’s wow factor you’re going for, these Flower wall stickers will make a bold statement.  I think they’d work well in a glamorous living room.

botanical decor - tenstickers fern pattern wall stickers

These Fern Pattern wall stickers can be positioned to suit the size of your wall.  They’re available in a wide variety of colours too.  I like the idea of using them in a bathroom.

Botanical decor with vinyl rugs

Another super-simple way to introduce botanical prints to your home is with vinyl rugs.  I’ve only just discovered these and I think they’re ideal for busy family homes; they’re durable, washable and anti-slip.   Here’s a selection of the designs available from tenstickers.

tenstickers fine leaf vinyl rug

I love the bold leaves and the hexagon shape of this Fine Leaf modern vinyl rug.  I think it would look great in a contemporary home.

tenstickers beige daisy vinyl rug

You can combine neutral colours with a botanical print for a more subtle look.  This Beige Daisy vinyl rug would work well in a bedroom.

tenstickers fern pattern vinyl rug

The simple design and monochrome colours on this Fern Pattern vinyl rug would suit a more classic room style, and work well as a focal point in a living room.

tenstickers round daisies vinyl rug

Wouldn’t this round Daisies vinyl rug be perfect for a child’s bedroom?  I love the fact that you can personalise it with their name too.

Have I inspired you to bring a little bit of botanical decor into your home?
