Naturally Crafty #7 – a Nature Craft Linky

August 4, 2016 by Catherine 2 Comments

naturally crafty

Welcome to the latest Naturally Crafty nature craft linky, hosted by me and my blogging pal Becky Goddard-Hill from Simple Parenting.

We’ve just got back from a rather lovely holiday in the Canaries, and spent some fun days at the beach.  We didn’t do any beach nature craft as there were literally no shells, driftwood or even seaweed to be found, but I’m sure we’ll be getting crafty again when we head down to Devon later this Summer.  In the meantime, here’s the shell castle we created a couple of years ago in Brittany.

I love how the natural materials you find on a beach are just so full of texture.  I also think the fact that you start with a treasure hunt makes it that much more exciting.  Now obviously, Sylvanian families don’t count as natural materials, but my youngest insisted they had to be in the picture!

With the school holidays in full swing, I’m really looking forward to having more time to do some crafting with the kids.  It never fails to grab their interest, and this lovely linky is giving me lots of new ideas so do keep them coming!
