Gifts for the home and interiors lovers

great gifts for the home

How’s your Christmas shopping going this year? Mine is off to a slow start, but working on my gift guides has definitely helped with the ideas stage!

If you’re shopping for a fan of all things home and interiors, this is definitely the guide for you. I’ve rounded up lots of great gifts for the home, so if you’re struggling for inspiration it’s the perfect place to start.

Great gifts for the home

gifts for the home - wick'd wax botanics peony blossom candle

What better place to start than with luxurious home fragrance. Perfect for someone who likes their floral scents, this Peony Blossom Candle from Wick’d Wax Botanics has been developed by a professional gardener and smells amazing – like you’ve just brought a bouquet of flowers into the room. There are lots of other lovely scents to choose from too.

gifts for the home - sasse & belle cheese plant coasters

Who said coasters have to be round or square? These Cheese Plant Coasters from Sass & Belle are made from unrefined mango wood and would be perfect for a room with a botanical or rustic theme. A great way to bring a little bit of nature indoors.

rachel dubber mug gift set

This Mug Gift Set from Rachel Dubber includes two beautifully illustrated and gift boxed newbone china mugs, and a jute shopping bag. With a percentage of each sale donated to The Donkey Sanctuary Ireland, it would make a great gift for an animal lover.

ellame DIY Macrame wall hanging Kit

If they like a spot of crafting, this DIY macrame wall hanging kit from Ellame Designs is very on-trend. It contains everything you need to complete a cute little wall hanging, and is available in three rope colours. There’s a DIY plant hanger kit too.

A photo gift is always a nice option, and it’s so easy to create a personalised product online. This Collage Canvas Print from Asda Photo is a great way to design a mini gallery; I think it’s an ideal gift for grandparents from the kids.

elho greenville slimline planter

Encourage their green fingers with this Greenville slimline planter from Elho. It’s perfect for small spaces and windowsills, and has a built-in water reservoir to keep plants happy. There are five colours to choose from too.

thompson and morgan lit hyacinth bowl

If hands-on gardening is a bit of a stretch, how about a pre-planted floral gift? The Lit Hyacinth Bowl from Thompson & Morgan is highly scented and makes a beautiful table centrepiece. I like the fact that you can use it with fresh bulbs year after year.

gifts for the home - pure anada room and linen mists

These Room & Linen Mists from Live in the Light would make a great stocking filler. They’re essential oil-based and non-toxic, and are available in seven different scents.

konditor & cook recipe book

Buying for a fan of baking? London-based Konditor is famous for it’s amazing cakes, and this Konditor & Cook recipe book is packed with beautiful recipes and illustrations. I love my baking and have more than my fair share of recipe books, but there are so many new ideas I can’t wait to bake here.

gifts for the home - bread warmer basket

Now this is a clever gift for those who love to entertain. The Bread Warmer Basket from Suttons has a terracotta base which you heat in the oven, then place inside the fabric basket to keep bread warm at the table. It would be great for scones and jacket potatoes too.

made obvious eye pillow

Encourage a little bit of downtime and relaxation with this Eye Pillow from Made Obvious. The gorgeous botanical artwork is printed on organic cotton using non-toxic inks, and the pillow is filled with organic flaxseed and lavender. You can use it warm from the microwave, or cold from the freezer. This is a lovely gift for fans of yoga and meditation – and it’s great for headache relief too.

gifts for the home - little leaf organics fabric pot

You can never have enough storage in the home, and these multi-function Organic Cotton Fabric Pots from LittleLeaf Organic are brilliantly versatile. They’re ethically produced and sustainably made using solar power, and they fold flat when not in use. I think they’re perfect for organising toiletries, pencils and small toys; they also make a lovely eco-friendly gift wrap for a houseplant.

rspb beeswax food wraps

These reusable Beeswax Food Wraps from RSPB are another great little eco-friendly stocking filler. The three mixed sizes are ideal for packed lunches, leftovers and bread, and I love the cheery design.

burgon and ball silver birch plant pots

Perfect for lovers of scandi style and urban jungles, these gorgeous Silver Birch Pots from Burgon & Ball look just like the real thing and have a lovely tactile appeal. They’re available in two sizes and would make a great accompaniment to a houseplant gift.

shed 1 gin hamper

A gift hamper is a really special treat, and if they love their gin, a Gin Hamper from Shed 1 Gin is perfect. You can create your own hamper from a selection of gins, liquers, preserves and food, making this a truly personal gift.

vaso premium glass straws

Add a touch of minimalist style to their home cocktails with these Premium Glass Straws from VASO. Made from German engineered glass, they’re fully recyclable and toxin-free, which is great for the planet and also means they won’t impact on taste.

house of eden lime basil & mandarin room diffuser

If you’re shopping for someone who loves luxurious home fragrance, but never indulges themselves, this Lime, Basil & Mandarin room diffuser from The House of Eden is a real treat. It’s hand-mixed using an eco-friendly base, and presented in a gorgeous apothecary-style bottle. And it smells amazing!

gifts for the home - sasse & belle sunflower suitcase

This Sunflower Suitcase from Sass & Belle is proof that storage can be beautiful. The cheerful design and retro style is perfect for bohemian and vintage interiors. I think it’s a great option for a kid’s room too.

gifts for the home - the hambridge artist trailing leaves print

Great for those who love their indoor greenery, this Trailing Leaves Art Print from The Hambridge Artist is a generous 60cm x 91cm and will make a real statement. There are three other botanical prints in the range too.

gifts for the home - homethings keep it clean kit

You’d be forgiven for thinking that a cleaning kit doesn’t make a very natural gift, but if you’re shopping for someone who’s keen on making their home more eco-conscious I think this is a brilliant option. The Keep it Clean Kit from Homethings contains three refillable glass spray bottles, and three effervescent eco cleaning tablets which cover bathrooms, glass & mirrors, and general purpose cleaning. You can re-order tablets as required. The packaging is really funky too – nothing like your usual cleaning bottles! You can also grab 20% discount by using the discount code GROWINGFAMILY20 and ordering before 31st December 2020.

positive parcel hug in a box

Last but not least, if you’re unable to hand over a gift in person this year, I love the principle behind this Hug in a Box from Positive Parcel. The handpicked selection of treats aim to encourage self-care and positivity, while also reminding the recipient that you’re thinking of them. PositiveParcel is also donating a percentage of the profits from every parcel to the NHS and a selection of mental health charities.

Have these ideas for gifts for the home inspired you? I hope so – do let me know if you’ve found any great gift ideas you think I should add to the list!
