Review & giveaway: Narla outdoor artwork

January 15, 2021 by Catherine 137 Comments

Collaborative post

Wall art is a key element in our homes, but have you ever considered using it in your outdoor space?

Outdoor art is a great way to perk up a plain wall or fence. You can use it to create a focal point, make a statement, or distract from a less-than-lovely feature elsewhere in your garden. And like interior wall art, it’s also a clever tool for reinforcing the style you’ve chosen for your outdoor space.

We’ve just installed some wonderful contemporary metal artwork from Narla on our patio – and I’ve got the same piece to give away to one lucky reader too!

Read on to find out more about the Narla range and how to enter the giveaway.

Narla contemporary steel outdoor artwork

Contemporary steel art from Narla

Narla is an online platform that offers a selection of metal artwork designs, as well as the option to create your own personalised design. Each piece is manufactured from steel, using cutting-edge technology to laser cut the panel from a hand-drawn stencil.

This video shows just how much skill and care goes into each piece of artwork:

The Signature collection features a range of designs and is available in either painted steel for interior use, or Cor-ten steel for outdoor use. Prices start from £205 for a 50cm x 50cm artwork.

If you’d like a more personalised design, you can also upload an image to the Narla website and their team of in-house artists will transform it into a unique piece of artwork.

Our design is the 50cm x 50cm Abstract Flower from the Signature collection.

Narla outdoor artwork is made from Cor-ten steel, which weathers to create a rusted finish that will develop over time. I love the contemporary, industrial feel it gives to the artwork. The absence of a frame adds to this vibe too.

The product is very simple to install. First, the back plate attaches to the wall using rawlplugs and screws, then the front panel slides onto the back plate. Finally a small screw at the bottom holds the front panel in place. The whole thing is beautifully made and really high quality.

As you can see, the generous depth of the steel panel creates a fantastic effect against the dark back plate.

You can add LED lighting to your artwork if required. We haven’t gone for this option, but we’ve installed the piece underneath our patio downlight. It looks fantastic after dark, and will be a great focal point on summer evenings.

I’m really pleased with our new outdoor artwork. It creates a unique statement on our patio, and the modern design complements our garden’s style. I can’t wait until we’re spending more time out there so we can enjoy looking at it – preferably while sipping a nice cool glass of wine!

Is there a perfect spot in your garden for a piece of Narla outdoor art?

I’m giving away a Narla 50cm x 50cm Abstract Flower outdoor artwork worth £205. To enter, follow the instructions in the Rafflecopter widget below.  Good luck!

I love my little garden, its accessed up some steps from the house, so is at eye level when I sit in the living room or am having breakfast in the kitchen. I think a lovely piece of art work on the brick wall by the steps would be perfect as I could enjoy viewing it from the house, the patio, and the garden 🙂

I would actually love this for my parents as they are very proud of their garden and I know a perfect spot in their garden for it. My garden is a little bit small.

2021 WILL be the year we start our garden overhaul and a piece of Narla art would take centre stage, really beautiful and a really special reason that inspired the business makes it more beautiful.

I’d display it on my fence so I can see it whilst sitting on my decking, and also from my kitchen window.

I think the wall directly outside the back door, our son has severe learning difficulties, he loves reflective, shiny things so I think the sun would catch the colours at the point, he would love it, as would I, perfect!
