Who doesn’t love to receive a bundle of gorgeous flowers? Whether it’s to celebrate a special event, to send a message or just to make someone’s day, having flowers delivered to the recipient’s home is a timeless choice of gift.
With us all leading such busy lives though, it can be tricky to schedule the delivery for when someone is at home to receive it. I hate the idea of sending flowers to someone, only for them to have to spend time re-arranging delivery or chasing down their missed package. Bloom & Wild have created a solution to this problem with their range of Letterbox Flowers – fresh flower bouquets packaged into specially designed boxes that fit through a standard size UK letterbox, so you don’t have to be in when they arrive.
I’ll admit I was a little skeptical about how well the letterbox idea actually works; it’s hard to imagine how a beautiful bouquet of flowers could be delivered through a letterbox intact, isn’t it? So when Bloom & Wild asked me to try out the service I jumped at the chance.
The first thing to say is that the boxes really do fit through the letterbox! The box is slim and long, with a minimal design; it feels like a gift rather than a delivery box. The box is designed to open easily and when you lift the lid the contents are beautifully presented; the flowers are wrapped in cellophane with a lovely ribbon tie and your personal message on a gift card.
My flowers were beautifully fresh and lovely quality; Bloom & Wild despatch your flowers within hours of receiving them and you can really tell they haven’t been sitting around for days. The box design protects the flowers very well, each individual flower also has it’s own in-box care methods to ensure they arrive in perfect condition; the flowers in my Frances bouquet each had their own little protective nets.
My flowers came with simple arrangement instructions printed on the inside of the box, plus a sachet of flower food. There was also a lovely little card featuring information on the flowers in my bouquet, you can visit the Bloom & Wild website for more information too. The flowers arrived in bud but once arranged they opened within a day and have lasted really well; they’re still looking lovely eight days later.
I’m so impressed with the Letterbox flowers service; the flowers are fantastic quality, the packaging presents them beautifully and the whole experience feels like a real treat, which is exactly what you want from a gift. I’ll definitely be using Bloom & Wild to send letterbox flowers in the future, it’s such a hassle-free way to gift a beautiful bouquet.
