If you enjoy adventure, travel, and the great outdoors, Alaska will enchant you. Whether you’re looking for an active or relaxing trip, there’s something exciting to explore.
Where else in the world would you find spectacular mountain peaks, peaceful and wild rivers numbering in the thousands, an abundance of glaciers, and a region of active volcanoes? Alaska has all of this, and more.
If you’re cruising in 2022, it’s well worth considering Alaska for a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Here are some of the top tourist attractions in Alaska that you should definitely think about adding to your bucket list.

Denali National Park
Denali National Park is situated on the northern side of the great Alaska Range and is the highest mountain peak in North America. It’s also named Mount McKinley, but was officially given the title of Denali in 2015.
Home to wildlife and lush green flora and fauna, this place is well worth a visit for the stunning scenery alone. It’s also a popular spot for hiking, cycling, and of course mountain climbing. If you’re looking to add some adventure activities to your safari in the Arctic circle it’s a great option.

Tracy Arm Fjord
The Tracy Arm Fjord is one of the world’s most magnificent waterways. It was formed by glaciers and stretches over 50 miles in Alaska’s Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve.
This deep, U-shaped fjord begins in a tight neck at its mouth, then swiftly spreads, allowing you to enjoy a variety of transport options while surrounded by glaciers. It’s also home to a wealth of wildlife, including bears, moose, whales and seals.
University of Alaska Museum of the north
This museum never fails to fascinate its guests by transporting them back to the nostalgic voyage of the old world. You can explore various ancient and valuable items, alongside archaeological discoveries dating back to the prehistoric era.

Inside Passage
With its fjords, glaciers, and alpine forests, the Inside Passage is a popular travel destination. Instead of flying to Alaska or renting a car in Anchorage and driving the Alaska Highway through Canada, many people choose to travel by water.
If that’s your style, there are two options. You can join cruises from UK ports and travel along the coast near glaciers and wildlife, or take a ferry south from Haines down the Lynn Canal and out into the open ocean (where whales are common). Either way, the Inside Passage is a stunning area to experience.

Alaska Native heritage centre
In Anchorage, the Alaska Native Heritage Centre provides hands-on interaction with music, people, and art. Alongside interpretive information, the Heritage Centre is a place to connect with the community and participate in programs and events.
What tourist attractions in Alaska would be top of your list to explore in this stunning part of the world?
