Treads shoes are a range of premium, genuine leather school shoes. There’s a great selection of styles available, including easy-to-fasten velcro, smart lace-ups, and trainer-style shoes.
Sizes start at Junior 11 and go all the way up to adult size 11, which covers ages 6-16 years.

Treads shoes also have something called dual fit technology, which gives you flexibility on the width fitting. You can remove the base under sock layer to increase the shoe width from standard to wide. This also gives the shoe more depth, which is handy if you’re using insoles.
My youngest has been trying out the Dakota Oxford style for the last few weeks, and we’re really impressed with them. She loves the way they look, and has found them really comfortable to wear. We used the size calculator on the Treads website which worked really well; her feet are quite narrow, so we’ve added an insole and this has made the fit perfect.
Having seen Treads shoes in action, I’m not expecting that 12 month guarantee to be needed. They’re really good quality, well-made, and sturdy without being too chunky or heavy. There are also plenty of other sensible features, including non-marking soles, reinforced seams and shock-absorbing insoles. My daughter is hard to please when it comes to school shoes, but her Treads tick all the boxes!
